Meet Sarah!

Hello, I’m Sarah Starr, a Licensed Associate Counselor specializing in supporting individuals through life's challenges at various stages. I work with children (5+), teens, and adults.

I take a compassionate and personalized approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems, Play Therapy, and Attachment-Based Therapy. These techniques help address the unique needs of each client, whether they are healing from trauma, building emotional resilience, or improving their relationships and overall well-being.

In my practice, I create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where we can work together to explore your challenges, uncover your strengths, and help you move toward meaningful and lasting healing. I’m here to walk alongside you as you take steps toward understanding yourself and creating a fulfilling life.

When I’m not in session, I’m usually spending time with my family, soaking up Arizona’s beautiful weather, or enjoying the outdoors and all the incredible places this state has to offer. I’m also a big fan of traveling and love watching and attending sporting events. Go Suns!

I am under the direct supervision of Perry Emerick, MS, LPC, an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and a proud affiliate of Christian Counseling Services.

If you would like to know more about my approach to therapy, please check out the approach page on my website!
